Day 1: Arrival in Akagera National Park.
You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport by our expert tour guide who will transfer you to Akagera National Park. After a three-hour scenic drive, you will arrive at the park and check-in at your accommodation. You will have lunch at your lodge and later, in the afternoon, embark on a boat ride on Lake Ihema, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. After the boat ride, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-day game drive.
After breakfast, we will embark on a full-day game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife. You will have the opportunity to see giraffes, zebras, buffalos, elephants, lions, and many more animals. You will also visit the park’s various lakes, where you can see different bird species, including the rare Shoebill Stork. We will stop for a picnic lunch and continue with our game drive until the late afternoon. After an exhilarating day, we will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning game drive and departure.
We will wake up early for a morning game drive to catch a glimpse of animals that are more active in the morning hours. After the game drive, we will return to the lodge for breakfast, checkout, and departure. We will head back to Kigali, and on the way, we will visit the Genocide Memorial and learn about Rwanda’s history. Finally, our guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
