Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
We will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali at 7:00 am and embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes about 4-5 hours and we will make stops at various viewpoints to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the rolling hills, valleys, and terraced farms.
Upon arrival at Bwindi, you will check into your lodge, have lunch and relax as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience. In the evening, you may choose to take a nature walk or visit the local communities to learn about their culture and way of life.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali.
After an early breakfast, we will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers on the dos and don’t s of gorilla trekking. You will then set off for the trekking adventure into the thick forest, accompanied by an experienced guide and trackers. The trek may take 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas and the terrain.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will have one hour to observe them in their natural habitat, take photos and learn about their behavior from the guide. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will cherish forever.
After the gorilla trek, we will return to the lodge for lunch and later embark on a drive back to Kigali, arriving in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward journey.
